Today Jim and are going to visit the Acute Rehab facility at Miller Children Hospital in Long Beach. Yesterday we visited HealthBridge in Orange. We liked the concept of a house-setting opposed to a hospital setting and that her doctor has privileges and would be able to continue following her care. But we have heard great things about Miller and are anxious to visit. The good thing is that Lily has been accepted at HealthBridge; so we at least have a place to go. We hope she will be accepted at Miller but we will have to see. It’s all so overwhelming . . .of course there is nothing that we would want more than to have her HOME but we know that is not the best decision for Lily. If you have any experience or know someone that has had experience with HealthBridge or Miller please pass this request for information on to them. We would love any feedback we can get.
Things are moving fast ; most likely we will be moving out of CHOC by the weekend.
