Working Hard

We came home 4 weeks today. It has been a big adjustment for all of us but we are very happy to be together again at home. We have been feeling our way through the “system” of insurance, nursing care, home health supplies, etc. Lily has been busy Monday through Fridays with her therapies; most of them at home but now we’ll be heading up to Miller’s a couple days a week for outpatient therapy. Everyone is working hard to facilitate Lily’s recovery; we are so eager for her to talk and start moving her arms and legs . . . it’s very difficult to be patient but we have to remind ourselves her recovery is not on “our” time. Overall she seems to be more content and “awake” since we returned home. She is laughing and smiling all the time, it gives us such encouragement. Thank you to those that have come to visit; she seems to enjoy the special time with her friends (like she always has). If you would like to visit with Lily it is best to bring pictures or read her a book with lots of pictures. We have lots of books here or you can bring your own. After school and weekends are best. Friday is Special Persons Day at Lily and Charlotte’s school. Charlotte’s Special Person is her sister and asked if we could take her to the special Mass and reception. We are planning on attending, it will be Lily’s first time back at school. We continue to have high hopes for Lily and pray for her constantly.

Thank you for keeping her in the forefront of your hearts and thoughts and prayers . . .YOU are a big part of why Lily is moving in the right direction.

God Bless you all,
Leslie
